About 4 weeks ago, I was attending a men's dinner at a church in Powder Spring, GA. While I was eating dinner, my firearm was secured and locked in my vehicle thanks to the over the top gun laws in this country. So me, the law abiding citizen, was in the dinner and my gun was in my truck, apparently for the taking by those that think criminally. My truck, along with several other folk's vehicles, was broken in to and unfortately, this thug stole my gun. This wasn't just any gun, this was my father's service gun, who passed away 9 years ago on July 18th, 2001, killed by a drunk driver. This was a very special piece to me and it was a Glock...A GLOCK!!! Ugh! I am sharing this story with you to remind you of some housekeeping things you need to take care of, I am very glad I did! 1. Write down and safely put away all serial numbers of all firearms you own or are responsible for 2. Make sure you have insurance coverage for your firearms. If you are an NRA member, you automatically get $1000 coverage and only a $100 deductible! Not bad! 3. Call the police immediately and get a report 4. Make sure you have written down make, model and description of any accessories (scope, light, laser, etc.) Share some of your stories and how you handled it...let's learn from one another!
